There are many types of Taters What type are you?

You have Russet, Idaho, Yukon Gold, White, etc. They may grow different, beshaped different, but when you peel all the dirt off and get to the core of the “tater” they all look basically the same. We are all basically the same. No one is better than someone else. We were all just raised in different gardens, but down inside we are the same. Different “taters” do have different outward characteristics.

See if you fall into any of the following:

1. Hesitator - Maybe I will, and maybe I won’t. Spend too much time trying to make up your mind. Never get anything accomplished. Webster says, to hold back; to be indecisive.

2. Agitator - Causes trouble. Usually starts things just to see people’s reactions. Webster says, to stir up or

to excite and cause trouble.

3. Spectator - There are more spectators at an event then there are participants. You should not always sit on

the sidelines. Take part in life. Just be careful what you participate in. Webster says, one who watches.

4. Commentator - They are the ones who worry about what if. Analyze everything. They will waste a lot of . . .time thinking and worrying about things that might not ever happen, or that . they have no control over. Webster says, tries to explain or interpret.

5. Irritator - You do not like to be around these “taters”. They worry only about self. Have no consideration for others. Webster says, toannoy; to cause anger or displeasure.

6. Imitator - Trying to be something that you are not. Be yourself. We all were made for a purpose . . . . . . and have special talents. Find them and use them. Webster says, to copy; to take on the appearance of; to resemble.

7. Meditator - They think a lot but don’t always do. There is a time to think on things but do not spend your entire life thinking. There should be a time of action as well. Webster says, to reflect or to ponder.

8. Rotten Tater - Lazy; just lays around. Doesn’t contribute to society. They are wasted and useless. Bring . . . . . . . those around them down as well. Webster says, weak and morally corrupt.

9. Sweet Tater - They are good and pretty. Tries to be helpful and worries more about others than self. . . Asks what can I do to be pleasing? Webster says, pleasing; agreeable; wholesome. Did you know that if you put one of these “taters” in water and take care of it, it will grow into a beautiful plant with beautiful blooms for all to enjoy.

Chip Tater

Chip Tater is an average American teen boy. He is happy, easy going, has lots of friends, and a great personality. He loves to hang out with fun friends, but sometimes he gets into sticky situations with his relationships.

Mom Tater

Mom Tater is Chip’s mom. She is a good mother. She always takes care of her family and is always there with her husband (Pop Tater). She loves to cook, hunt, fish, read, and do underwater basket weaving.

Pop Tater

Pop Tater is Chip, Tot, and Sprout’s dad. He is a very good dad and has a lot of common sense and wisdom. He leads his family by the example of always doing the right thing.

Auntie Sweet

Auntie Sweet is the favorite relative. Everyone loves her. She is always thinking of others and putting the needs of others before her own.

Ida

Ida is the sporty tomboy type. She is determined to do anything that a boy can do, and do it better. She is solid and trustworthy.

Fried

Fried is a friend of Chip that is sometimes on the shady side of the character tree. He is fun to be around, but sometimes when you are talking to him he is not in the same zip code as you.

Mr. Couch

Mr. Couch—AKA—the lazy next door neighbor. His yard, house, car, hair, clothes, and attitude are always a mess and needing repair.

Mr. French

Mr. French is the middle school principal. He is a good man that loves the students and runs a tight ship. He has great wisdom, and always treats everyone equal.

Mr. Hash Brown

Mr. Hash Brown is the neighbor down the street that everyone likes. He has a great personality, he is a good influence, and has good character.

Mrs. Fry

Mrs. Fry is Chip’s English teacher. She is a great teacher, even for English; she just has a strange hairstyle.

Mrs. Russet

Mrs. Russet is the elementary school principal. She leads by her positive example and loving attitude.

Curly

Curly is Chip’s close African-American friend. Curly has a great smile and wants to be an NBA star.

Red

Red is Chip’s Native American friend. He loves the great outdoors and is a real sportsman. He loves to hunt Womp-us-cats!

Miss Scallop

Miss Scallop is the prim and proper and very rich next door neighbor. She was Miss Potato Queen in 2007.

Skinny Fry

Skinny Fry is the tall, shy, but very smart friend. She wants to be Chip’s girlfriend. She loves to read dictionaries and encyclopedias for fun.

Tommy Au Rotten

Tommy Au Rotten-AKA- Bully-AKA-Rotten Tater-is not very nice. His hobbies are yelling, screaming, pushing people down, jumping line, and sitting in the Principal’s office.

Uncle Twice Baked

Uncle Twice Baked is a favorite uncle and a lot of fun to be around, but sometimes his sidewalk doesn’t go all the way to his front porch (if you know what we mean).

Yukon

Yukon is Chip’s oriental friend. His great-granddad knew Bruce Lee.

Spud

Spud loves to jump rope everywhere she goes. She is one of Tot’s playmates. Her dream is to hold the world record for jump-roping.

Weggie

Weggie is another of Tot’s playmates. His name is really Reggie but he has a speech impediment and calls himself Weggie so everyone else does as well.

Tot

Tot is Chip’s little brother. He loves to get Chip into trouble with Mom and Pop.

Sprout

Sprout is the baby of the family. Chip is not sure about changing a messy diaper as of yet! This is the first baby girl for the Tater family. She loves to roll on the floor.
